Good luck finding a dictionary! Josh is a Spanish major and doesn't have
one. I used to be a Spanish major and don't have one either. If you're lucky
enough to get a Braille textbook, there will be a glossary in the back. But
it can't replace a dictionary. Online dictionaries are fine to start, but if
you continue, I'd recommend an electronic translator. Not the greatest
either, but it will have to do, as there seem to be no Braile dictionaries.

Diane,
If you just want to get an initial feel for the language before you start
your classes seriously, why not try:
(1) www.bbcnews.com
(2) www.worldnews.com
(3) onlinenewspapers.com
By looking at several news headlines in Spanish, it is possible to deduce
the meanings of Latin-derived words whose English equivalents sound
similar.
If you wish for further help, please e-mail me off list.
Warm regards,
Jim Taylor.
