No, the Braille display doesn't have software. It's pretty much equivalent to a monitor, or to your VoiceNotes speaker. Trust me, this horrible thing can happen to *anyone*, including users of VoiceNotes. It's happened to me three times, and while I have a BrailleNote, I know it had nothing to do with a Braille display. Richard Ring is absolutely correct, it would be like blaming a monitor for a computer failure.
