Hi,

I always save my web braille to my PC first, then transfer them to a compact
flash card for reading on my braille note.

The process for downloading web braille onto a PC is very well explained on
the web braille site, under the FAQ section. I highly recommend that your
friend read this thoroughly. I saved the directions, then read each step
and performed each action till the process was complete. It was to do with
teaching windows to recognize .brf files. The directions are clearly broken
up depending on which version of windows is on the PC.

After the initial set up process is done, the rest is a snap. Your friend
can then just go to the web braille site, find a book she wants and download
each volume. She will be asked if she wants to save or run the file. She
will need to tell the computer she wants to save it and where she wants to
save it. You have to do this with each volume. however, if she's using
windows XP, after the first time, windows will offer the last place she
saved by default.

I do this all the time, so if she has any other questions about saving to
the PC, please get in touch or give her my address.

Sherry

Subject: [Braillenote] Questions about web Braille.

Hi, everyone,

Melinda and April, My Happy Husky here,

I have a friend who has a braille note and she isn't on this list. She
wanted me to ask two questions for her.

The first question she has is how do you save a web braille book directly
to the Braille Note?

The other question is how can you save a web braille book to your pc?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Take care, and be safe out there!

Your friends always,

Melinda and April, My Happy Husky
