Dear Kim, I can answer two of your questions.
The information about deleting documents is in the chapter called File Manager. I don't know what type of keyboard you have, so I don't dare give any specific commands. The CompactFlash card has a rough and a smooth side. There is a ridge on one edge. The smooth side should be up and the rough side should face down. The edge with the ridge should face away from you.
