Hey Jonathan,
Donm't worry about it. People are just to picky and need to get their
priorities straight. I don't care if the software comes in a cracker jack
box, I just want it! People, get a life!

Hi Sarah, well the phrase damned if you do and damned if you don't comes
to mind here. There is absolutely no error here. We wanted to get KeySoft
6.11 out to customers as quickly as possible. Had we taken time to update
the labels of the cards that were already in the warehouse in the United
States, and I hasten to add that neither Braille nor print labels were
updated, then there would have been further delay, and we all know what
that would have meant in terms of traffic on this list. We did what we did
to get the software out to people that they so desperately wanted, and I
think this is putting the customer's needs first. keep in mind that 6.11
was a minor patch which for a few users had major consequences.
Nevertheless it is very easy to tell that you have 6.11 by checking the
build of the software on the CF card itself. This is in no way at all
different from the practice of many IT companies where labels are not
changed for minor build changes. In fact, one of our competitors recently
released a product, ironically also 6.1 of their software. A few weeks
later, they released another version, but they also called it 6.1. The
only way you know that there is a difference is by checking the build of
the software. At least we've made a new version number to make it clear
what you're getting, when you check the CF card. So I am absolutely
comfortable with the fact that we acted appropriately to get people their
software as soon as we practically could. While we'll never please
everyone, I'd bet my house on the fact that this decision is what the
majority of people would have had us do, since they wanted their software
without further delay. So if you want to call for my resignation over
getting the software out there as fast as we could, be my guest.
