Terry, yes the basic d iii will work with your braillenote, it would need to be connected using a parallel cable directly connected to your braillenote; this may be the solution if your networking of the embosser doesn't get done soon.

How about a Basic D 3? Has anyone used one with the BT? Braille embossers are fairly plain vanilla when it comes to how they interact with PCs and other devices. The Braillenote is more like to work with a Braille embosser than it is to work with a printer. There are a lot of printers the Braillenote will work with, however there are even more that it will not. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Susan Stageberg Sent: Monday, July 12, 2004 2:37 PM To: Braillenote List Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Braille translation and keyboard size. I have used my BN with both a Braille Blazer and a Juliet Pro, with no problems at all; the only change I had to make when switching from one to the other was line length. It's one of the reasons I love my BrailleNote, among many. There are probably others. There is no setting in the BN which asks you to set embosser type. I haven't read embosser compatibility problems on the list, so I'm assuming it's compatible with a variety. Perhaps those who use their BN with an embosser can provide you with a more specific type. > ----- Original Message ----- >From: Lisa Hayes <[EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: Braillenote List <[email protected] >Date: Mon, 12 Jul 2004 19:11:13 +1000 >Subject: re: [Braillenote] Braille translation and keyboard size. >And what embossers does the bn work with? ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
