Bob thanks for your feedback. However, many people are using 6.1 very successfully. Sadly, the nature of lists like this is that people will write here if they have issues, and seldom if they have praise. That's fine, but it gives people on this list a false impression as to the real situation. That said, as I acknowledged yesterday, we know some people are having unacceptable issues and we're working diligently to get them resolved. But 6.1 has also been really well received. I do agree that if e-mail is an important part of your BrailleNote usage, it might be prudent to wait for 6.11.

Ie might even say "ill-fated." Until HumanWare comes out with 6.11, There are certain steps which should be taken, which, I think, would greatly help in soothing ruffled feathers, and which would make great business sense. Here they 5: 1. Immediately halt the shipment of the 6.1 upgrade. 2. Send out an announcement, stating that, because of major issues, the upgrade is being withdrawn for revision. 3. People, who have already received the upgrade, should be fully apprised of these issues, and advised not to stall it until the new version, 6.11, comes out. 4. From this point on, anyone who orders the upgrade should be sent 6.11. 5. When 6.11 is ready, everyone who has either received 6.1, or who ordered it before these actions were taken, should receive the upgrade on a CF card. (Optional) It might not be a bad idea to give these folks one SMA. While these steps may seem a bit drastic, I think they would do wonders, in restoring confidence in this company, which, in my opinion, still makes the best line of products around. Thanks, and God bless.
