I also upgraded from Silvia to Brewtus II last summer. Transition couldn't
have been smoother.
Yes, you can brew and steam at the same time. I generally do them back to
back rather than simultaneously, but the main thing is there's no waiting
for the temperature to adjust between the two.

The steam power is awesome compared to the Silvia. Others seem to like tips
other than the stock 2-hole Expobar but I've been real happy with that, even
for the occasional experiment with latte art. Its much faster than the other
one and two hole tips I tried with smaller holes. And if you work it, you
can still get good micro-foam.

I tend to fill the reservoir and empty the tray daily just out of routine
but have gone 2-3 days when I've forgotten. Also about 3-4 drinks a day,
usually all but one are milk drinks. Filling the reservoir is easier than on
the Silvia because its located along the side and I don't have to slide the
machine out from under a cabinet. I just use a funnel to hit the opening in
the top and I don't have to do anything except pull the warming tray off.
The drip tray is HUGE relative to what you're used to - its like having
another sink down there. I empty every couple of days, but could go longer
easily.

I haven't had to repair anything yet, but the repairs on the Silvia were
never too difficult, so hopefully neither will the Brewtus - I don't see
myself shipping this beast back to WLL.

I upgraded the grinder too (to a Macap), but used the Rocky for a few weeks
at first. Not bad, but the Macap is definitely better, particularly the
stepless. But you should be fine until you decide you're not :)

Good luck and enjoy!
