I checked my machine last night and the element is switching of at 1.4bar, gets a bit of overun to just under 1.5bar.
I had the element changed some time ago to a 2000 watt Wega element (runs on 220V so no problem), so has some serious steam power now and definitely the best upgrade I ever made.
