fine.  But please do NOT send me emails which are directed to 
others simply because I was subscribed to the old Brin List.

In fact, you *can* reply directly to me. As I said in a previous
message, 
the solution is quite simple. Hint: it's in the headers.

And my messages aren't spam. Spam is unsollicited commercial e-mail. My 
messages are not unsollicited, as they are replies to on-list messages,
to 
which I would have replied on-list if that had been possible. As that is 
*not* possible for obvious reasons, I must use the method that comes 
closest to an on-list reply, which is to send the reply directly to
those 
who are active on the old list. They are also obviously not commercial 
messages, therefore they do not match the definition of spam.
