Yes, sometimes I Emily my Posts as well.
Usually, I will reply to all the emails that
interest me but not send any of them until I
have read all the list email.  Like you, I
end up seeing replies similar to the ones I
was going to make, or have a change of heart
about a topic, or am able to post somewhat  (not to
mention my current workload at work, which
had a nice dip for a bit but is spiking back
up again).
