It's been awhile since I played D&D. Don't zombies just kind of
deteriorate after awhile?
I once played in an evil campaign in which 2 roommates were playing.
One of them kept doing stupid things with his characters so's they'd
die. The other, who was going nuts living with him, and who was kind of
passive-aggressive (maybe just as well at that time, considering that
there were potentially lethal weapons in the apartment), was playing a
magic-user, and would animate the dead characters. He couldn't have
more than 2 or 3 at a time, though, because they'd eventually
deteriorate to the point of uselessness.
That campaign ended after about 2 months, for various reasons.
