I saw the best performance that I've seen in years last night. Alicia Keys
can to perform in my neighborhood (about 2 miles from my house) and I was
amazed by the show. She is definately much better in person than on a CD.

I cannot remember hearing that good of a R&B/Blues/jazz voice. She had a
tight band, and well as a rapper duo supporting her. She showed an
extremely wide range of music: everything from classical, to blues, to R&B
to hip-hop, to jazz, to Latin to, even, classic '60s rock (Light my Fire
from the Doors). I'm old enough to remember when Jim Morrison sang it, and
I never thought I'd appreciate a cover until now.

This impressed me almost as much as a voice that just blew me away. I've
always believed that one overwhelming strength of the United States is the
richness of its culture. It was very enjoyable sitting and experiencing
some of that variety.
