I don't think anonymous dinging should be allowed at all. If you're willing to penalize someone, you should be ready to suffer the consequences, which include having the dingee pi**ed at you. I'd rather just not have dinging at all. I'm very effec- tive at deleting emails which I don't feel like reading.
