There *had* been various calls for issuings of warnings to him, etc.
I figured it was understood that the listowners were doing what they
ought to be to let him know his behavior was crossing the line, and that
there would be consequences.
Eileen had come extremely close to just saying, "That's it, I'm killing
it now" in the 2 months leading up to Mark's being kicked off, and if
there had been a public annoucement and then a firestorm directed at the
listowners had come out of *that*, then the plug probably *would* have
been pulled, with Nick not quite ready for a move to his site.
I'm sorry that people are so bent out of shape about it now. Maybe if
people hadn't been getting so bent out of shape about what the
listowners should and should not do before then, it wouldn't have been
an issue that the listowners felt ought not be publicized.
