Nick already told one horror story about the effects of aspartame on
some people.

I've got a problem with the stuff. One diet drink will send me into a
splitting headache. So I avoid diet drinks with aspartame. (Saccharin
doesn't seem to be a problem for me, but I don't drink anything with
even *that* unless it's the only option for whatever my caffeine
preference is at that time.) It's not a migraine, but it's a little
miserable. (Having witnessed a number of migraines, I don't think that
I've ever had a headache that was more than "a little miserable" except
on one occasion, and I was pregnant at the time *that* one happened.)
Of course, I discovered this on an occasion where I first drank the diet
drink and then had to drive about 40 miles, so that was just No Fun All
Around.

I know of someone for which it's a migraine trigger.

Natural stuff just seems to be better for us than artificial or
overly-refined stuff.

And I think that there is no such thing as a "one diet fits all", having
observed some people thrive on a particular diet of good foods, and
observing someone else not doing well on it, but thriving on a different
diet of good foods.
