I've been getting the names, where available, into the database, so I'll be able to use mostly names in the future. I think it's quite different from posting the entire subscriber list, since the latter would include people who never post, and thus never expose their addresses to spam-collectors. These are the people whose addresses are easily gathered from at least three archives; by definition, they are the most commonly appearing ones, thus the ones that can most easily be gathered. Even more to the point, *anybody* could do what I did using public sources; I did not either use or divulge private information that was entrusted to me as a list manager. And I hope that it is obvious that the spirit in which I offered this was rather obviously different from the incident in which the entire subscriber list was published. But it's quite true that I didn't even stop to think about the fact that I was posting a list of subscriber addresses and how that might appear in light of past events here. For any harm that may have caused, let me apologize. I need to be a bit more circumspect about this kind of thing, considering what business I'm getting into! And for that, I thank you.
