Ahh. The trick IME is to know where online to advertise. I've had 
some fantastic bidding wars on rare and signed scifi books I've sold 
on ebay. One book I bought for 50p at a second hand stall went for 
�245. (three guys in a bidding war...then someone else sniped them at 
the last moment...classic).

I'll stick to scifi and fantasy books..I generally know they're 
worth...although my best source is charity shops. I've bought a few 
crates of scifi books from some of em really cheaply because they 
just don't sell for them and they've just been in storage. All nice 
70's and 80's books...
