Or, you know, real conflicts of interest.  The ability
of people on the American (and global, I guess) left
to have faith in the benevolence and wisdom of France
and Germany, in total ignorance of history and, well,
logic, never ceases to astound me.  If you want to
argue that France and Germany are critical to going in
and we shouldn't do it without them, fine.  But
arguing that they oppose us out of principal is
ludicrous and foolish.  Gerhard Schroeder and Jean
Chretien wouldn't recognize a principle if one bit
them in the ass.

Which, come to think of it, one has.
