Well, to me "proven beyond a reasonable doubt" should
mean that no one could be executed on circumstantial
or otherwise less-than-absolute evidence.  I'd rather
a person truly guilty of heinous crime be sentenced to
life than an innocent be executed;  I suppose under
"my" system that would make an execution quite rare.
