Sammy might be able to do it. I sure couldn't -- the bulbs are small, the sockets are small. Small children are not left unattended in the same room with the Christmas tree anyway, so the risk to Sammy isn't great. (Plus we have this baby fencing that can be put up in such a way as to block access to the tree, for greater peace of mind.)
That sounds like a great idea, as long as he doesn't figure out how to get out of the fence . . .
