Once again, my polite suggestion and request. If you think there is anything even *remotely* plausible in my comments about George Lucas's Star Wars universe, please consider waiting two weeks and then seeing his latest toy advertisement during a discount matinee.

Notice I am not asking for a boycott. I - indeed - plan to buy tickets for my entire family. I have never prevented my kids from waving light sabers or purchasing lego merchandizing ripoffs. (Though my teeth sometimes grate.) Largely because I feel Lucas fails utterly to get his message across.

Nobody (much) is listening to his relentless tirades against citizenship and democracy and confidence. Certainly not my kids.

The guy cannot write a line of decent dialogue to save his life. His plots have more holes than a Millennium Falcon could fly through. He openly avows a preference for dictators over democracy and demigods over people...

... but he hires 5% of the finest artists alive on Planet Earth and I will NOT let my disgust at his message rob me of a chance to appreciate those artists at work. It should be a hoot. Especially if I can manage the trick of pre-setting low expectations. (I did that so well, last time, that I managed to have a good time at Attack of the Clones!)

Still. Deny him any help on those first 2 weeks statistics. And do the matinee thing when you go to see his 2 hour toy infomercial.
