Last weekend, the European Champions League Finals 2004
were held at Coldhams Common Cambridge.

In short, the results were...

Flying Angels Bern - Switzerland - Winners & Spirit Winners
Helsinki Ultimate Team - Finland - 2nd
Clapham Ultimate GB - 3rd
Fire of London GB - 4th
LeedsLeedsLeeds GB - 5th
Ultimate Vibration - France - 6th
Feldrenner - Germany - 7th
Clockwork Orange - Netherlands- 8th

Rodders - Fire of London - Tournament MVP

It was remarkable that Angels won spirit with votes from 4 of the 5 teams
they played against.

A very special mention should also go to Fire, who actually beat Angels in
the first game on Saturday morning AND, before the rules had been properly
consulted, had come back from 16-14 down against HUT in the semi to win
17-16, only to discover 10 mins after the game that by the rules as issued
to the captains HUT had in fact already won at 16-14 (Humble apologies from
myself for the confusion).

Clockwork orange played the whole weekend with just 9 players and were
reduced to 8 when their captain was injured in the last game on Saturday
evening.

All in all, the event was a great success and it is hoped that the Champions
League will continue it's success in bringing European teams together and
thus improve all European teams results in Worldwide competition in the
futire.

Regards
Nolan
