Hi all, For those that don't get (or don't read!) the Member Update:
************************************************ BOARD ELECTIONS The UKUA Board Elections are now open for voting. Full details of the candidates and how to vote at: http://www.ukultimate.com/2006/election_manifestos.aspx The deadline for voting is 21 DECEMBER 2005. ************************************************ VOLUNTEERS WANTED! If you have decided not to stand for the Board but would still like to be involved in UK Ultimate then remember there are many important sub-committees that exist to run specific areas of Ultimate in the UK. The sub-committees (with the exception of the University Committee) are appointed by the Board from volunteers. We are currently looking for volunteers for: - Women's Committee: 3-5 members, with at most one from any single club. - Open Committee: 3-5 members, with at most one from any single club and a maximum of 2 from the teams that finished top 5 of Tour A in 2005. - Mixed Coordinators: One male and one female. These committees primary purpose is to work with the DoC to coordinate the national events (Tours and Nationals), deal with issues arising and to help plan for and coordinate international/representative teams. They may also be involved with helping and encouraging new teams and regional development programs. Experience is not required; all you need is some free time and energy. As with all UKUA volunteer positions exactly what you achieve is up to you! If you would like to be involved in one of these sub-committees email [EMAIL PROTECTED] briefly telling us who you are and summarising why you want to get involved, what you'd be prepared to offer and what you would like to do. Also, keep an eye out for requests over the coming months to help out in other areas (Juniors and PR for example). ************************************************ Cheers, Barry __________________________________________________ BritDisc mailing list BritDisc@near.me.uk http://zion.ranulf.net/mailman/listinfo/britdisc Staying informed - http://www.ukultimate.com/informed.asp
