Tom, I'm with Ed on this one. The article really is pants.
How can you say "and then expect him to do the sport a favour by taking Ultimate seriously" when he obviously has no intention of taking the sport seriously. If he had any intention of taking Ultimate seriously he wouldn't have turned out this tosh. In the past, when journalists have taken time to get to know the sport, the people involved and their adherance to the spirit, some have turned out half-decent articles portraying the sport for what it is. Fantastic. However, more often than not they turn out this cheap rubbish in the hope that mocking those that dare to be unconventional will in some way propel them from rubbish hack to journalist of the year. Get real, or better still just shut up. The piece was light hearted, intended for a different audience, and probably had little to do with his actual opinions. If you'd stopped to consider that before calling him a [EMAIL PROTECTED] then he might be more inclined to write something more positive about Ultimate next time. Now he probably thinks ultimate players are ignorant sh1ts. Tom 2008/5/15 One of The Lurkers <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > What a rubbish bit of journalism, mostly consisting of snide > potshots.
