All the players, Firstly we just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who came and made the tournament such a success. We’re really happy with the standard of play at the tournament, and with the amazing weather!
Final finishing positions: Winners: North Runners-up: Midlands 3. South East 4. Scotland 5. West 6. Ireland We’re currently collating all the stats from the games and we’ll post each player’s goals, assists and foul totals on the website in the next few days, we’ll let you know when it’s done. We’d be really interested to hear what players thought about the tournament, how the refs worked, how it affected the way the game was played etc. Whether it is just to us, or posted in public on the net there could be some interesting analysis- a comparison with the write-ups from the US would be pretty interesting too, apparently only 10 fouls or so were called all weekend, compared to loads this weekend! Finally we’d like to know if people would be interested in playing/ think it would be worth doing again. We are unlikely to run it again next year as it stands as neither of us are likely to be here, but if anyone else is interested we would be happy to give advice on how to run it and how to do it a bit better. Any suggestions for improvements would be welcomed.
