Hello,
This weekend (29/30 May) at the Richardson Evans Memorial Playing Fields on Wimbledon Common, London will play host to some of the top teams in Europe in both the Open and Women's Divisions. We are hoping that this will become an annual event bringing many more international teams to the UK in the future. Can you help volunteer at the event? We need a few people to come and help us out with some simple tasks. You might have to sit at the TD desk for an hour or so, or ride around in the tractor dropping off water containers to parched competitors. It won't be all day and it won't be really hard but a few pairs of hands would enable us to put on a great show for all concerned. The flip side to this selfless toil is plenty of time to go and watch some of the best European teams compete, both in the open and women's divisions. Who knows, you could even get a walkie talkie. Drinks and food will be made available to those who are kind enough to get involved. With your help we can put this tournament on the map and ensure that teams keep coming back in the future to give our domestic clubs the chance to pit themselves against high level international opposition. If you can help us achieve that then please let us know. YAKA will be playing GB Women U23 in the show game on Saturday at around 17.15.
