Personally I find britdisc a great tool for keeping up to date with discussions like this and to be notified of ultimate events/news.
*My thanks goes to the person who hosts it.* Maybe to solve this issue the UK Ultimate guys could host an official online discussion forum where topics like today's could be discussed freely and more openly? People could then use britdisc to highlight important discussions on the forums thus allowing britdisc to continue to operate as a general tool for the community without harassing the people who don't know about using the rules function in Microsoft Outlook. Maybe somebody hosts an online forum already and it's not well known but discussion boards are free to set-up, heck I could host one myself on my website if it was required. -MM -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Karen B Sent: 18 May 2011 17:37 To: Chris Kerns Cc: <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [BD] FW: The results of your email commands You know I think you can sign up for a digest which may help to condense your emails in to one email.. However, I have just now unsubscribed to the mailing list as it seemed that it had gotten out of control and was no longer being used in a productive manner. The recent discussions on 'Spirit Scoring' and 'Physicality in Ultimate' which have led to well over 30 emails in 3 days does not seem to be appropriate use of the mailing list. Therefore the mailing list has become spam instead of the useful tool that it had once been. Discussions should not be sent out over the whole mailing list to everyone, particularly ones that are really just a string of personal opinions that would be better discussed in a forum not a mailing list. So it is with regret that I leave the mailing list and I hope that it can again in the future be a useful tool for UK ultimate players. > > Regrets, > > Chris Kerns > > University of Bristol > (Mythago Ultimate) > > __________________________________________________ > BritDisc mailing list > [email protected] > http://www.fysh.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/britdisc > Staying informed - http://www.ukultimate.com/staying-informed __________________________________________________ BritDisc mailing list [email protected] http://www.fysh.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/britdisc Staying informed - http://www.ukultimate.com/staying-informed This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
