Hi all,

Well just been to nationals for the first time in many years, and have to say
am confused as to why there was a player fee and team fee?

As for the £20 per player fee on top of the £30 for the team fee there was no
free gift per player or anything for the team. As at other tournaments been to
in the past round the world with a separate player and team fee there is a
valid reason for this separation.

So why was there a player fee??? And not just a team fee???

Also why were the mixed and women's players paying £15 per player? Very
bizarre? Did they get less than nothing as we got in the open division for
their player fee?

So for the open teams with 20 plus players the fee was over £430 per team so
why so high??

Were the facilities better than other tour events?

I'd say no different, in fact exactly the same, pitches with lines and cones, a
scoreboard, a few portaloos and some shelter at each pitch, with water for
players and a scorer, a physio tent and ambulance staff on standby.

There was the same lack of decent priced food available, as at each tour I've
attended this year, so it wasn't that!!

I'd like to know if some of the money went to the UKU? Or was the £30 team fee
paid to the UKU as a tax for hosting the event as used to happen pre tour?

Also why as its a UKU event, why isn't the fee structure the same as the tour
events?

Did any of the fee go to the companies streaming the event for free? As nexgen
charged for the worlds streaming.

Can someone official from the UKU tournament organising committee answer with
valid reasons as to why please, as I'm not the only one who voiced this at the
weekend.
