You shouldn't be waiting on us - pick a relevant idea that sounds
interesting and that you would enjoy working on, and then build the best
proposal you can. Have you read the introductory materials that tell you
what STEP is and why we're interested in AP242? Do you know why the
Multi-Protocol Parsing project might be harder, and are you comfortable you
can understand and solve the associated tasks in the time available? These
are questions that we can't answer for you, but are integral to your
selection of project. You need to seize the initiative, select an idea you
like, and determine how you would pursue your goals to fruition. GSoC
projects are collaborative efforts, not just teachers or managers telling
students what to do - you need to demonstrate initiative, select something
*you* want to work on, and then explain to us in detail how you will
achieve your goals.
