If you are using a dry yeast, you might not need a starter at all. If you make one, leave enough room in the bottle for all that foam - I would leave at least half the bottle empty! Er der nogle > erfaringer med det? To me this sounds rather silly. The whole idea with an air lock is to let the CO2 out, while preventing bacteria from going in. The CO2 will come out no matter what, exploding the bottle, if need be. When the fermentation is done, there will be some small amount of CO2 dissolved in the beer. The exact amount depends on the temperature of the beer. When you bottle, you add a small (carefully measured) amount of sugar to produce a measured amount of CO2 in the bottles, and well carbonated beer that does not explode. If your glycerin-trick could make the beer dissolve more CO2, you would have to compensate by adding less priming sugar.
