The yeast converts sugars into alcohol. If you want more alcohol, give it more sugars! You can try to boil up some sugar in little bit of water, cool down, and dump it in your beer. I guess half a kilo would give you about 1% more alcohol, and a whole kg 2%. Too much sugar tends to give the beer a "cidery" taste, which some people don't like. To avoid that, you can add some malt extract. Or how about honey? Might be a good idea to dump these into the primary fermenter, and let them get their worst fermentation done there, so as to leave more of the sediment behind. Of course, adding sterngth without adding much of taste will tilt the balance of your beer... Maybe a bit of dry hopping would help that?
