Usually, the stronger, darker, and more bitter beer, the longer it takes to mature, and the longer it can be stored. All beers behave the same way, improve for a while, peak, and then deteriorate. They do not necessarily "go bad" after some date. Unless you happen to get a small infection in your beer, of course. I would guess a simple ale would improve the first few weeks or months, stay good a few more, and then slowly go downhill. Not that I have much experience, mine tend to run out long before that. > 2) Hvis jeg vælger at benytte en "King Keg", hvor længe kan øllet holde > sig, fra det øjeblik jeg tapper det første glas? Not quite sure about those King things. Unopened they ought to last as long as bottled beer. After opening it depends. If you use CO2 for pumping the beer out, they should last weeks or months. If you let air in, you had better drink the keg in a few days. That's my gut feeling. Possibly more patient guys on this list have more experience about storing beers (too) long... -- Heikki Levanto heikki at indexdata dot dk "In Murphy We Turst"
