The proper way is to use more malt. And to balance everything else to match. A simple way is to use less water! You can also mash at a lower temperature to get more fermentable sugars, and thus more alcohol and a drier beer. If you really must, you can add almost any sort of sugary material. I would add it to the boil, min 5 minutes before the end, to kill eventual bacteria. Probably a bit earlier, so as not to get in the way of the last minute hop additions - at that time I am busy enough setting up the cooling etc. If you really want to get drunk cheaply, check the cheapest pilsners at your local discount market.
