The good news is that unless you store it all too humid, malt can
survive a lot of bad treatment - I have had a sack of crushed malt
laying around for a better part of a year. Yes, it had lost a bit of
taste and sugar potential, but heu, it was beer anyway.

Today I store my malt in sacks in a corner of my kitchen. I crush it
just before brewing. That has worked fine for me for some years now -
once I got my mill motorized.

So don't worry too much about it. Beer anyway, and all that.
