Well, my single infusion bucket works almost the same way. I fill the
grains into it, add hot water, and wait. Finally I add more hot water,
and run the sweet wort out.
I am using a double-bucket system, two 40-liter buckets, one inside the
other. The inner one has a gazillion holes in the bottom. The whole show
is insulated with closed-cell foam, no more than 1-2 cm thick. (camping
mattress of some sort). It looses about 2-3 degrees of temperature in an
hour, when I have a lid on it.
I would not like to put so much hot water in my bed - think if you
manage to spill a bit of it! Also, some water will evaporate from it,
and probably condense in your bedclothes.
But hey, give it a try. And let us know how it goes! I'm sure it will be
beer anyway
