May I humbly suggest that you brew a batch or two without any fancy
electronixs, to see how the process works, and to see where automatics
could be a practical help. It is easy to fall in the trap of building a
fancy mash-temperature stabilizer, only to see that the bucket keeps its
temperature quite fine without, and can be adjusted by adding a bit of
hot water.
Nothing wrong with building fancy machinery, if that's your main
interest. Even better to build fancy machinery that solves a practical
problem :-)
