Before I got my malt mill, I used some sort of blender. It worked all right,
but the grains did not get evenly broken - lots of fine powder, and some
whole grains. But then again, my discount mill suffers of the same problem.
It just means a slightly higher risk of a stuck mash, and a bit lower
efficiency. But
it will be beer anyway
