reading, comprehending, and *applying* what one reads in the man pages
is absolutely fundamental in being a competent sysadmin. that's why
I'm of the firm belief that there needs to be a hands-on/virtual lab
in addition to a written test. definitely let them have access to the
man pages; but don't let those less capable get away with screen
scraping the answers.
