Hi Dru,

I'm not sure that I understood which tarball on BSD but out of 
curiosity I installed the dokeos-1.6.3 version on freebsd in a couple 
of minutes, not counting down load time and as far as I can tell it is 
operational ( forum, admin, login, registration all seem to work), if 
that is what you meant.

To add to PREVIOUS EMAIL:  This is on FreeBSD-7.0-CURRENT, 
php5-5.1.2_1, mysql-server-4.1.18, etc.  I am aware that I should be 
using php4 but that is what I had installed.
