This commit:- https://cgit.git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/groff.git/commit/? id=2a5ad85ce4e4d114bb2ccb89064c774087df7522 Restored the behaviour of gropdf 1.23.0. After font subsetting was added to gropdf, which allowed it to be used with fonts which contain thousands of glyphs, the cmap which worked with a single font stopped working (because the minus could now be allocated an eight bit character number in any of the sub- fonts rather than a fixed position in a single font). Please repeat your tests using current git version. It the cmap is still not working a copy of the pdf and the name of the viewer failing to obey the cmap would be very helpful. Cheers Deri
