You have sent your message to the GNU Coreutils mailing list. The GNU Coreutils are the basic file, shell and text manipulation utilities of the GNU Operating System. You can learn more about GNU Coreutils here: http://www.gnu.org/software/coreutils/ The GNU Coreutils are part of the GNU Operating System. You can learn more about the GNU Project here: http://www.gnu.org/ You are talking about Ubuntu however we don't really have any direct connection to Ubuntu. This is not an Ubuntu support forum. Effectively you have taken your boat to a motorcycle shop. It would be helpful if you say why you decided to ask for help here. You can learn more about Ubuntu here: http://www.ubuntu.com/ For Ubuntu support I suggest the resources here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support > For reasons still unknown at this time, I cannot install, update or > erase Ubuntu off my hard drive. It appears to me from your description that by doing a "full disk wipe" the you have removed Ubuntu from your hard drive. This appears to be what you intended to do and it reads to me that you have done it. Further debugging would require more information. This means that now that you have no operating system that you would need to install one before your computer will boot. > Because if not, I will be contacting an Attorney on this issue due > to Malicious Software Lawsuit. Put yourself in the position of a helper who is volunteering time and resources to help other people by answering questions and developing software. What would you in that position of a volunteer trying to help others think and do about someone who opens the discussion with threats? Keeping a positive tone usually obtains better results. As the old saying goes, "You get more flies with honey than with vinegar."
