But still an argument in favor of gnulib implementing a workaround that defines an alternate type if a C89 compiler chokes on the C99 construct, since the goal of gnulib replacement headers is to allow compilation of as many C99 idioms as possible, even with C89 compilers. - -- Don't work too hard, make some time for fun as well!
