I have a mailing-list running by manual moderation and it works just fine.
In addition to eliminating spam, it also eliminates HTML junk, overlong
lines, useless quotes, and other nuisances. I am doing this with
a backup co-moderator located nine timezones away, so response is still
reasonably speedy. (And what couldn't wait a few hours, anyway?)
I would be willing and able to do that kind of job for this cvs list, too.
