GDB 5.0 'next' problem on Compaq UNIX 4.0

We just installed gdb 5.0 on Compaq UNIX and we see a problem with 'next'.
It seems to always do 'step' instead when the subroutine is in the
same source. If it is in another source, it behaves correctly.

This GDB was configured as "alphaev6-dec-osf4.0f".
