I've found Gnu evaluates desperation situations very poorly. Specifically, if an opponent is rolling off and you are racing to get one piece off to avoid a gammon, Gnu mis-evaluates moves.

My moves of 63:13/10, 13/7, 31:8/5 7/6 and 65 10/4 8/3 were rated very bad, bad, and doubtful.

How can this be?

My sole goal at this point is to avoid a gammon (which I managed to do, btw). Any move I made other than the ones I did would have resulted in a gammon... (i got one piece off).

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
