IIRC embedded artwork is not supported by gnupod. You will have to specify the artwork manually with --artwork parameter. Since you mention 120GB, it looks like you have a 6th generation (6G) iPod Classic (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipod ) I have a 5G myself, and the artwork works just fine. I think it should also work for the 6G, but I could be wrong.
