Follow-up Comment #20, bug #34490 (project gnustep):
i am a bit puzzled about the resistance since any changes in my patch are only
for a fallback where the current code path doesn't work at all. please keep in
mind that *anything* that calls "xdg-open" is a infinite improvement over what
you have now, since the current code doesn't do anything useful at all outside
a (hypothetical) gnustep-environment.
i'm not sure how anything can be gained here with wrapping the call to
ShellExectureW() in an standalone tool...whats the improvement there?
