Not likely. GRUB can only boot from disks that are supported by the
BIOS. Unless laptop BIOSes are more advanced than I think they are,
the only way to use your jaz disk is after a real operating system
loads drivers for it.
Of course, I could be wrong. The only way to know for certain is to
try.
