When grub-0.5.95 is released, this will not be an issue, because the info files are always distributed as part of the tarball, in accordance with GNU standards. If you try to build a package from CVS, you need to have more than just the usual tools... you need at least autoconf, automake, and makeinfo, and sometimes more.
